Good Environmental Choice Australia

GECA (formerly Good Environmental Choice Australia) is an independent, purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation established in 2000. Its mission is to enable individuals and organisations to make, buy and do better for people and planet by providing credible and holistic solutions for sustainable consumption and production. GECA achieves this primarily through its lifecycle ecolabelling program—the first of its kind in Australia—which certifies products and services against rigorous standards that address environmental, human health and social impacts across the entire lifecycle.

GECA's certification scheme includes 27 robust standards across a wide range of product and service categories. These standards align with ISO 14024 principles for global best practice in environmental labelling, ensuring scientific integrity, transparency, and independent third-party verification. Approved Assurance Providers carry out all GECA assessments.

For Future Generations is proud to be a GECA-approved Assurance Provider. Learn more: geca.eco/get-certified/independent-appointment-panel
