Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certification assures buyers that certified products meet GECA criteria for quality, social and environmental performance and are environmentally to similar products that are not made to environmental best practice standards. As a GECA approved Assurance Provider, “For Future Generations Pty Ltd” objectively and independently assesses the key performance characteristics of products and services and the processes associated with their production and delivery to one of twenty three category specific GECA standards and we issue a Letter of Conformance for products and services that are found to conform to all applicable GECA criteria. This enables GECA to issue a Licence to organisations who can then promote those products as GECA certified. If you also require certification to other sustainability standards, we can bundle assessment services with SCS Global Services to deliver chain of custody certification for forest products and products containing sustainable palm oil.
Complete and submit a GECA quote request and application form https://www.geca.eco/get-certified/.
On GECA’s invitation, we prepare a proposal that includes the scope and cost of the assessment. The applicant signs and return the proposal to begin the project with us.
We provide the applicant with the Conformance Assessment Plan, outlining the assessment approach, standards, sites, scope and timeframes for assessment and a checklist to begin compiling evidence of conformance.
Applicant submits evidence and records for review. Assessor will identify any gaps in conformance and or additional records required for4 review and confirm an on-site assessment.
Our assessor visits your facilities to review your organization's processes, control systems, material inputs and outputs, records and interview staff to collect evidence of conformance against all the relevant criteria of the GECA standards. The Assessor then prepares a Conformance Assessment Report.
A Technical Review is completed of the Conformance Assessment Report and final assessment decision is delivered. Any Non-conformance is reported and once sufficient evidence to address the non-conformance is submitted, a Certificate of Conformance is issued to Applicant and GECA.
This applicant provides a Turnover Declaration to GECA and signs the GECA Brand Guidelines and Licence Agreement and GECA issues invoice and GECA Licence for the certified products upon payment of Licence fee.
